How cute is little Archer? Our friends got him just last week, he's a French Bulldog puppy (13 weeks old). He's about 8 pounds now, and will be around 25 pounds when he's fully grown. Napping is still his favorite activity, followed by eating and playing. Of course we had to get him a few toys, how can you resist this little face?
So it was a nice weekend. On Friday we worked late again (9:30pm this time, not as bad as when we worked until midnight the week before!), but treated ourselves to Indian take-out and relaxed on the couch for a few hours before going to bed.
Saturday I slept late, which did a good job of chasing away the stress of the week. We drove into the city and met up with our friend K and E, met Archie, and picked up a picnic lunch from Zabars. It was nice to just sit in Central Park for a few hours, even if it was a little chilly once the wind kicked up. We went back to their apartment, fed Archie, then took him to the dog run in front of the Museum of Natural History. Incidentally, if you're single, get a puppy. People can't resist stopping to say hello to a puppy... it's really amazing. You can't walk one block before people start asking questions, want to offer advice, chat about dogs in general.
Yesterday we relaxed around the house, and made it out to Michaels to get some art supplies. We're making a gift for our friend's new baby, I'll post some in-progress pics. I also picked up a new knitting book, Greetings from Knit Cafe. I love it! There are alot of projects I want to make, so now I just have to narrow down the choices and get some yarn. Reading that book makes me want to start my own knit shop/bakery. Ah, maybe one day!
